"Having trained in ceramics, I discovered the thrill of surface pattern and, after my MA, concentrated my efforts into translating my imagery into textiles.  Influences have always come from my own personal experiences and have evolved over time, but a style and personal approach has remained constant.  Inspiration has been found in the themes of courtship, motherhood, feeding and familiar day to day images.

"I have recently found the natural world and its local inhabitants a source of enjoyment by which to express hopeful and sometimes humorous domestic emotions.

"Hand stitched embroidery is a slow and linear process, but it allows time to reflect as the work progresses."
