| Carl March |
|
Carl studied at Solihull College of Art and later, for two intensive years, with master printer Oliviero Masi in Milan.
His etchings are characterised by a crayon-like texture known as ‘soft ground’. This delicate technique, with other etching processes, gives a distinctive subtlety to his work.
Elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Carl has quickly established a reputation among contemporary printmakers. His work is widely represented and collected both nationally and internationally, in many private collections. It includes many commissions, one of which was presented to and accepted by HRH Princess Anne and Buckingham Palace.
2009: Carl's etching 'The Pensive Selima Reclined' has been accepted for this year's Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. The exhibition runs until 16 August.
