| Carol Sinclair |
|
Carol Sinclair is intrigued by the effects of natural forces – wind, water, fire and the passing of time – upon materials and objects. In the process of becoming ‘worn out’ even discarded industrial scrap acquires a delightful softness and subtlety of shape, texture and colour.
Carol’s skill in recognising these qualities in ‘found’ objects and in revealing them as finished work is somewhat like that of a jeweller finding, polishing and setting stones.
Carol Sinclair graduated in Fine Art from the Central School of Art in 1987 and has since exhibited widely in private galleries and public spaces. The minimalist and contemplative qualities of her work have attracted commissions for both interior and garden environments. Her work is in many private collections. She now lives and works near Cambridge.
