In Maggie’s own words …

“I find myself constantly drawn to the sea for both inspiration and solace. The rhythmic sound, the ebb and roll, are as important to me as the visual presence. I never tire of coastal walks, not one stretch of coastline is ever the same on consecutive visits. Each renewed acquaintance brings fresh colour harmonies, different quirks, eccentric shapes and splashes.

“Stormy days are the most rewarding, intense chiaroscuro of rendered sky giving brilliant pools, which appear suddenly for a transitory moment on the least expected and restless surface of the sea.”

Maggie and her husband Gwyn, whose work is also on show in the gallery, live just outside Haverfordwest.
