“I spent one of the best afternoons of my life sitting in a puffin colony as they came back from feeding at sea. That experience has never left me and continues to inform my work.”

Before becoming a potter, Anita Peach was a highly-skilled technical illustrator and, later, a cartographer. She completed a degree in 3D Design (Ceramics) at the University of the West of England, Bristol, in 1995.

She is enthusiastic for the exciting uncertainties of raku-fired pottery – the technique used in making the puffins at present in the gallery.
