Set up by the Arts Council of Wales in 1983, Collectorplan is an interest-free* credit service to help you buy work by living artists exhibiting in participating galleries in Wales.  It is supported by Principality Building Society.  Loans are available up to £2000 and can be a part-payment towards an item that costs more than £2000 or you can buy several lower value items at a time with a combined value of up to £2000 or more.  The amount you borrow is then paid back over 10 months (if less than £1000) or 15 months (if over £1000) in equal instalments interest-free*.  There is no administrative charge or handling fee when you take out the loan.  You will be asked to pay a minimum 10% deposit.  (*Typical 0% APR.)

St Davids Studio Gallery is one of over 80 galleries in Wales offering Collectorplan.  As you look through the website you'll see the Collectorplan symbol on the page of artists whose work can be bought through the scheme.  There are a number of conditions that you must satisfy - for instance you must be over 18, resident in the UK and hold a bank or building society account which can handle direct debits - and full details can be found on the Arts Council of Wales' website.
